Founded in 2002, the name "Meiomi" (pronounced May-oh-mee) translates to the word "coast" in the language of the native Wappo Tribe. By the 2008 vintage, Meiomi had become a tri-appellation blend, sourcing fruit from the coastal regions of Sonoma, Monterey, Santa Barbara counties and this approach continues today.
